Determinations

In developing determinations, the Tribunal considers a range of matters including, but not limited to:

existing salaries, allowances and entitlements
other jurisdictions
a selection of benchmarks
economic factors
feedback from key stakeholders
the role and responsibilities of a member, former member, cross bench member and various office holders
staffing levels provided in Ministerial and Opposition offices
the composition of the Queensland Legislative Assembly.

Latest determination

On 22 April 2026, the Queensland Independent Remuneration Tribunal issued Determination 38/2026 entitled ‘2024-25 Review of Allowances’.
